The owner of this stunning West-end property approached Lanescape seeking to refine and develop plans for a 2-storey 1,110 square foot rental unit envisioned at their laneway. Working closely with the homeowner and builder, our team devised a plan that maximized spatial and financial efficiency, working toward an ambitious budget while maintaining a high performance building with all the comforts of home. The ground floor level hosts a generous open concept living space with a large kitchen-dining area opening to the rear yard. The upper level offers a principal bedroom with a compact ensuite, a common bath, secondary bed, and den. The two-tone cladding scheme combines cost-effective materials with rigorous detailing to create a modern expression that aligns with the homeowner’s aesthetic vision and budget.
